Service Learning Scholarship Programs

The NAPCA Foundation provides a service-learning scholarship award for high school and college students, and parents across the globe who have high financial need and a commitment to service. The program is designed to encourage and reward students and parents who make significant public service contributions to their schools and communities. To be eligible, students must apply to become a Certified Peer College Advisor and perform their community service hours at a local middle school, high school, community college, youth center, after-school program, or community based organization. In addition, parents must apply to become a Certified Parent College Advisor (Parent CPCA) and perform their community service hours at a local middle school, high school, youth center, after-school program, community based organization, or in their home.

High School Students

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Perform 200 hours of service each academic year (10 hours a week)
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Attend regular group reflection, enrichment, peer college advising and leadership development activities
  • Complete a career focused internship that is aligned with your career goals or interests (at least 40 hours per year)

College Students

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Perform 200 hours of service each academic year (10 hours a week)
  • Maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher
  • Attend regular group reflection, enrichment, peer college advising and leadership development activities
  • Complete a career focused internship that is aligned with your career goals or interests (at least 80 hours per year)

Parents

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Perform 200 hours of service each academic year (10 hours a week). Parent CPCAs cannot receive credit for more than 40 hours from providing service to their family and friends in their home.
  • Attend regular group reflection, enrichment, peer college advising and leadership development activities
  • Complete a career focused internship that is aligned with your career goals or interests (at least 40 hours per year)
